I have access to a auto lift now however I was concerned about placement of the pads under the Leaf Chassis. I place the rubber pads on the lift under each of the four jack points however they just rest on the sill edge on the underbody of the car. Would it be better for me to get 4 jack pads...
In this situation is there a reason you didn't just look at the Nissan EV Connect App to verify it was charging after drop off at the valet? I know I use this App or the MyLeaf app a lot to connect to the car.
I thought the same thing.
However in the last 3-months my 2019 Leaf has had to have my radio unit replaced ($2,000+) repair covered under warranty. Also the front passenger seat sensor went out so the seat belt light was constantly illuminated even if nobody was in the front seat. This was...
I called and talked to Nissan Support for the EV Connect App.
They told me that it was a known issue and the team is working to fix the issue on the Server.
Personally I would go with a 50amp circuit to support a L14-50. The stock Nissan Charger that came with my 2019 Leaf Plus uses a L14-50. The L14-50 also allows you to somewhat future proof yourself because it can support a 10kw charger.
The Juice Box has more functionality than the stock...
Thank for the excellent summary of the battery degradation you have seen between a Bolt and a Leaf.
My wife's family lives in Bakersfield so I am very familiar with how hot "Bako" can get!!
I recently when through a car purchase and we did look at the Tesla Model 3. We ultimately went with the Nissan Leaf Plus for several reason.
#1-Seats. The Zero-Gravity seats in the Leaf were way more comfortable than the Tesla Model 3 seats.
#2- Ease of getting in-out. My wife has bad knees...
OP if this is your first EV, I would recommend you consider leasing. The technology for EV's is changing really fast. That way in 3-years if you don't like the car you can just walk away with a Lease and get something different.
I got a 2019 Leaf SV Plus at the end of June on a 3-year...
Congrats on the purchase.
What model of Leaf did you get? I am judging by the price $33k maybe 2019 Leaf SV?
For the EV charging station I recommend you install a L14-50 outlet which should give you compatibility with other chargers and will future proof yourself since it can support up to a...
I have a 2019 SV and it doesn't have this rattle. Sounds like something came loose. Do all the buttons work on the dash? If the noise is easily repeatable I would make a service appointment and have the service person ride with you so they can hear the noise.
The wife and I recently went through this process.
We had a 2015 Nissan Leaf SV and we were looking for a new EV. The 2015 Leaf was our first EV and we were ready for a upgrade. We have two cars so were were not looking for the Leaf to become a primary car for us. We live in Southern...
So I enabled the DTC in Leaf Spy Pro and no alarms had been triggered.
In the future I am going to keep the ODBII Adapter in the car so I can spot check these as necessary.
I am going with the CHAdemo charger triggered it. When I tried to enable it for the 2nd session it took several tries...
I have a 2019 Leaf Plus SV that I have had for a little over a month.
I was using a Chademo Charger today 50kw. I did two 30 min charging sessions on the Car to get the car above 90% before leaving the charger. The charging stations were not shaded and the local temperature was in the Mid...
