Hello,
I bought this around 2 years ago when I thought I would be building an EVSE station into my house. I ended up buying one instead. I'm not sure how much it's worth but it does include the Leviton Charging Plug which was around 120$ so I'm selling the whole thing for that. It also...
This has happened to me twice now. The first time I had driven 60 miles to a lecture, plugged in parked and walked 20 mins to the lecture hall only to have my leaf txt me that it had been unplugged 30 mins later. SO I had to leave the lecture in the middle go back and plug in my car. By the...
Interesting link... I'm not really sure how solar is making us less vulnerable to an attack with the current rules governing solar power generation without grid power.

It wasn't visible we were dumb and left stuff in the back while watching a movie and I guess someone thought it might be something of value... I didn't get a tenneau cover maybe I should have. At any rate all they got was a backpack full of dirty clothes.. And our EVSE of course, I'm wondering...
Yeah they did, but our deductible was 500$ and we had to replace the back window that they smashed out with that. We got 1000$ for the charger (they said we could buy a cheaper one if we wanted) so it would be nice to recoup some of the deductible by purchasing a lower cost one if possible.
Our leaf was broken into and the thieves stole the EVSE that sits in the cargo area. A new one is around 1000$ from Nissan, anyone know of a cheaper place to buy one? Please note that our car is leased so we will need an OEM to return with the vehicle when we give it back.
Thanks!
I think a great system would be one where I could charge up the car and use its batteries as backup for the house. (Maybe the system wouldn't work unless the car was plugged in and was able to feed a certain amount of amps back into the house) It seems like if we want to move away from a...
I was looking into buying a solar system and was told by the sales person that here in California PG and E requires your panels to cut off power to your house if there is a grid failure. One of the main reasons I was going to get one was so that I have a backup for the Leaf. She said that since...
Yeah I think most of the price gouging is more from pure ignorance on how the charging stations work. Most people don't even know how long it takes to charge a car or don't do the math to figure out how much is it actually costing the person charging. Even the designers and marketers of the...
I was in Oakland, Ca the other day attending a festival. There were spots on the street but I figured I might need a little more juice for later so I went to park in the downtown garage which has charge point stations. I don't mind paying a dollar an hour, but the charge point chargers there...
Sorry I posted this thread awhile back and then forgot about it. I live in Berkeley, Ca I know that in a 3 block radius there is someone with a Ford Focus Electric, 1 Volt and 2 leafs (including mine) :) .
