In CA, does the vehicle have to be purchased from California dealer to get the full tax credit for state and federal?

So I spoke to PG&E, they said their rebate is separate from what the dealer is willing to discount on top of that. That doesn't help much obviously. But I guess what they means is the dealer can't use that against you IMO. So the best quote I received today was 36,405 MSRP -4000 dealer...

But doesn't the "brand' US corporate have anything to do with the private dealers? The luxury brands, Mercedes in particular has a level of customer service that has to be met by MB USA from what my SA told me. MB service department is top notch in my area and Lexus is equally great if not far...

Thanks for that... I've always own EU brand and one Lexus beside the leaf so I wasn't aware of this. It has always been as you described, gotten a pretty decent loaner. Definitely a good to know so I don't go screaming at Nissan SA when I have to Uber home. Lol

We're looking at trading in our 2013 for a 2018 Leaf. The 10 State and Fed credit plus a 3k PGE rebate makes the leaf under $20k at the moment.

I noticed that sometime, when I reverse and break, it makes a grinding sound like metal to metal. Break pads appears fine and the sound goes away once I drive the vehicle. It does not make the same sound when driving forward. Anyone else have this issue?
