Could it only be partially on? I don't have a leaf, but I know on some cars if you start it up in certain modes (you don't press the brake down, etc) it will light up various errors. Does the Leaf do this?
Good call on the "limited power" screen. This post (http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=20106&start=30) makes it sound like a battery cell issue.
In Indiana we don't have rebates, and I was hoping to talk them down in price is why I was considering this one.
A few questions:
How does the warranty work when buying used? This will be my first used vehicle.
How long is the warranty on the battery? I've read in the forums about the 60,000 / 9 bars rule, but on the Nissan website it says the battery warranty is 100,000 / 8 years. Which is correct...
Hi Everyone,
I'm from Indiana and have been considering a used Leaf. The only one in my area right now is a Used 2014 SV with 25,291 miles on it. Here is the specific car:

It is priced at $13,995. What would be a good price for this car? I'm only interested in...
It isn't guaranteed that I would upgrade in 2 years, but certainly likely. Thanks for your advice! This is the first I've heard about a different heater in the S, I will have to research that. My drive is about 25 miles each way, but I do have an L2 charger at work if necessary.
The retail price according to the website is $32,000. I will check on the federal credit. The real (unanswerable) question to me is what will this car be worth in 2 years. In other words would it make more sense to lease or buy and get the tax credit.
Thanks for the response. Can you give me an idea of how good of a deal this is? Just curious if I should jump on it or not. I will check the date. Would it be worth trying to look at it with Leaf Spy?
Thanks!
Thanks for the response!
I'm located in Indiana. No particular reason for the 2 year lease, that is just what they offered. I thought it was a fairly good time frame given the changes in EV's I expect to be available then. I do not know the numbers for a 3 year lease.
I can purchase the...
Thanks for the honest feedback everyone, it is greatly appreciated!
Sounds like I'll be passing on a Leaf for now (keeping my Prius) but will look into again if I move, change jobs, or in a few years when range increases. Thanks again!
BTW, I get a smile on my face just thinking about others...
Hello,
I have a 70 mile one way commute, with a rough mileage break down like this:
16 miles - 55 - 60
40 miles - 70 - 75
14 miles - 55 - 60
I live in Indiana, so winters can get cold. I will be able to L2 charge once I reach work.
Would the Leaf work for me?
If you need any more info let...
