    1) You can use the upgraded EVSE to charger both traction battery and auxiliary battery at total 17A @ 240VAC. If you have only 120VAC source, you need to charge the traction battery full before turning on the auxiliary pack due to limited current. 2) The auxiliary pack is voltage controlled...

The kit is independent and does not communicate with the Leaf computer. The display will show whatever as the stock Leaf does today. The only difference is that the charge bars will decrease slower than stock one and you get miles from it at the end of the day. The modular design makes the kit...

We have over 900 units on the road and a dozen in AZ. We have not seen any issue related to heat in the LiFe packs. We control the discharge rate at 1C or 80AH. It is good for the battery. We do have thermal monitor and cut-off feature in the BMS.

The efficiency of the DC/DC converter is 90%. There shouldn't be any other loss since the converter output is actually part of the energy stream that drives the vehicle.

You can easily turn off the aux pack circuit and just charge the traction battery if you have limited current source. Once the traction pack is full, you can charge the aux pack.

Absolutely, multiple DC/DC converters can be used in parallel to increase the throughput if larger pack is deployed. We have used three 8KWH kits in parallel in a Gen 1 Prius in the Green Glen Prix this year and won the best fuel economy title against Chevy Volt, Plug-in Prius and other...

Our auxiliary pack can not be charged via the CHAdeMO DC Quick Charge port as it is. Doing that is technically possible but it depends on the demand and the number of DC QC stations are available to justify the investment to develop such feature.

    1) With a separate J1772 adapter connected to our Enginer charger, the auxiliary pack can be charged with level 2 port while the main pack is in QC. 2) It depends on the battery development and the market demand. I expect that it would be a few years out when the original traction batteries are...

    1) Yes, if you wan to charge the aux pack while the main pack is on QC, you can simple purchase a J1772 adapter from us. 2) It is up to the owner. Replacing the traction pack would cost significantly, not only on the battery itself. It also requires a new BMS, on-board charger and charging...

Our aux pack can use any advanced batteries as they come out. You don't need to replace the OEM traction pack.

    That is correct.

That is correct. You can't use two plugs (AC and DC) at the same time.

The charging station will inform the vehicle the maximum current that the vehicle can draw from the charging station. The vehicle does NOT ask for maximum current in level 2 standard. In Level 3 charging, the vehicle will ask for constant current level. So just make sure the charging station or...
