Check to make sure nothing has come between the floorboard and the back of the break pedal. It could be a small water bottle or anything that allows for the brake light switch to activate but doesn't allow the pedal to be pressed down far enought to activate the Ready switch.

You likely need to get the tilt / open sorted on this unit to get to the ssd drives behind the lcd.
It actually may be the reason for the constant attempts to open.
Once you get the lcd to open completely, you should see the two ssd drive slots for your Nissan Maps Data card.

Is it possible you have a 2nd fob inside the car?
Leaf won't let you lock yourself out

Another fob inside the car could possibly be thwarting your locking intentions.
Your first probl was attempting to maintain highway speeds when the battery was so nearly drained.
You can't expect 10% to last very long at speeds above 60 Miles Per Hour. Also what was the battery temperature at?
Try this process next time:
1. Power Off Nissan Leaf
2. Press Fuel Door Button
3. Press Timer Off Button
4. Connect Chargepoint Port to leaf as you normally do.
