I figured it out ... at least what was causing my problem.
When I was turning on the climate control in the morning before work, I was doing it in the app - before the app had updated. My hypothesis is that because the app wasn't updated, it assumed it wasn't plugged in and ran the climate on...
My question still stands: If the car is plugged into a 240v charger, should it be running on battery power or pulling electricity from the charge when you set the car to preheat from the iPhone app?
Then I guess the message on the app has changed. My old Leaf it would say on the iPhone app if it was running off battery power or the charger. Also, I notice that when I start the app up, there are a number of predicted miles range. When I get in after it's been heating for a while, the range...
I just leased a new 2015 Nissan Leaf SL. In my old Leaf when I remotely turned on the heat in the morning while still plugged in from a night of charging, it would say (in the iPhone app) that the climate was turned on a running on power from the charger. In my new Leaf, it always says it's...
These are all excellent ideas and examples. The right way to do it is probably with the junction box but I I liked the pass through in the last message. I wish I put this question up sooner and could have saved all that searching time.
We decided to give the indoor garage space to our Mini Cooper convertible and leave the Leaf outside (hey it's a lease). I've been passing the charge cord for our 240v charger under to the door but am worried about it crimping the cord (I do have a small block of wood next to to cord to help...
I got my RAM Mount in the mail today and it is awesome. It fits perfectly in the cup holder and is exactly the right height and angle. And it is extremely well made. I can click the home button, type an address and it holds it solid. I am really excited to test it out...
How can I get my name on the first page of this thread? I just lost my first bar on Tuesday, July 24th at 14,100. I've had it 16 months. Live in Phoenix, Arizona. At this rate I'll only be down 3 bars by the time the lease is up but it's worrisome.
That's cool to know. In Phoenix, it's nice to start recirculating because it cools the car down faster. In the winter, it nicer to have the outside air as the default. Thanks for the tip.
You are really luck or smart or both. Given what's going on in Japan there could be a huge delay. We got ours Thursday night and was told (who knows) that it was on the last boat out of Japan before the earthquake hit.
P.S. Love the car by the way. And Pinnacle Nissan did a great job.
