Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

If you can take advantage of the full federal tax credit, I think that is a decent price. We couldn’t, so we leased an base SV. Dealer took $4000 off MSRP and Nissan offered $9500 lease credit, and CO gave $2500 rebate. I think the lease credit has dropped since then.

    Why $10000 off

Agreed. I felt it was a good option for us as we wouldn’t be able to use the credit on a purchase. This way we could in a roundabout way.

    Why $10000 off

I couldn’t use the federal tax credit so I went for the lease deal from a dealer in Longmont, CO. $33830 MSRP for an SV. Dealer took $4000 off price, Nissan had a $9500 lease incentive, and CO has a $2500 rebate. Comes to about $20000 with all fees and taxes/ registration. We’ll buy out the...

60 kWh LEAF Introduction Placed on HOLD

I can't imagine the "hold" would be more than a few weeks at most. Not sure where folks are coming up with years.

With an MSRP of $34450, I’d be surprised if that included the tech package.

LEAF SV Deal in Colorado 11/2018: Under $17k

Excuse me. Wrong word. Federal tax credit. Nissan keeps the credit and passes it along to the lease purchaser via a rebate. Which can vary from dealer to dealer.

LEAF SV Deal in Colorado 11/2018: Under $17k

If you can’t take advantage of the federal tax rebate, Nissan offered $9500 off an SV in CO, plus $2500 state rebate on top of what discount you negotiate with the dealership. This is for a lease. Your total cost would be about the same.

Cool. Mine came with mats and protection package as well. I wonder why the residual is higher? I’m wondering if the numbers changed for November.

We decided to put a bunch down because, we had it available, and it reduced the finance charges on the lease. $8000 down and $63 a month for 3 years. Total amount for lease including down payment and monthly payments with taxes, fees and registration after 3 years is $10268 $11160 residual...

12000 miles per year, but we intend to purchase at lease end so not a big consideration. The total lease payments included $8000 down and $63 a month for 36 months. I know that's not what folks usually do, but it ended up saving a bunch on the lease finance charge.

This was exactly my situation. Couldn't take advantage of the Federal rebate because of income, but Nissan offered $9500 lease rebate and CO offered $2500. $12000 off after negotiating $4000 of MSRP. Our lease payment is low and the residual is low. Perfect for us as we intend to buy it at the...
