Same website also says the current 2017 and 2018 issued white and green decal drivers will have to wait until *2019* to apply for a red decal. For a month or two early next year, perhaps us red decal-ers will have the carpool lane to ourselves (except for those people actually carpooling :) ). :)

Looks like they updated the language on DMV website to indicate that red decals are valid until January 1, 2022. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vr/decal

What's the point of introducing a new color sticker now if it is going to expire end of the year and has to be removed and replaced with a new sticker? Couldn't they have just continued the existing colors until end of the year? Also, if just keeping up with regular EV/PHEV purchases takes 6-8...

After posting the question, I saw this in Owner's Manual, but the display on the dash doesn't really change at all. Perhaps I am not cornering fast enough for this feature to engage. :)

My second gen LEAF SL has a "Chassis Control" section in the dash menu where you can turn on "Active Trace Control" and it shows a top view pic of the LEAF with 4 wheels. And the pic is absolutely static with no updates even when "Active Trace Control" is on. Is this accidentally carried over...

How does the lease extension work with respect to lease miles? Do we get additional miles per month of extension? What if we have miles left over on the original lease. Is there a way to sign a no additional miles lease extension for lower per month cost?

2015 LEAF is up on Nissan website. List price for 2015 LEAF premium package is shown as $1570. Wasn't it $1050 for 2014? Has the content of the package changed? Seems like a huge bump in price if nothing has changed.
