I am not worried about 79% vs 80% at all. I am more concerned why the SOC % drops so fast in the beginning of the trip (or when the battery is close to 80%).

I am in Ontario, Canada. The temperature was around 65F on both trips. The car was stored in garage and the temperature was about the same. The battery temperature gauge showed 5 bars.

CarWings shows 5.7 miles/kWh and the calculation done based on SOC is 3.8 miles/kWh. That's a pretty big difference to me. Is SOC something we can trust? To me the CarWings readings seem more accurate.

joewaters, you have a different procedure in your other post. "I plug in, power on the car, then power down again, and reset the EVSE, I can get it to charge just fine." Do you reset the EVSE first or power up & down first?

I think the B mode is mapped as accelerator and brake combined. The bottom 85% is accelerator and the top 15% is brake. If you press the accelerator to 15%, it's coasting. More than 15% is using electricity. Less than 15% is regenerating. more less coasting maintaining...

When my iPhone is connected to the car via bluetooth, the incoming phone calls will ring on the phone and car's speakers. However, for text messages, the alert is silent on the phone and the car. Is there a way to enable the text message alert/sound on iPhone or the car?
