ok so i admit to having lost track of the "Charge Balancing" debate. Life sidetracked me a bit so for a few months (aka: "the Holidays") i could only visit the "highlights of MNL" but now that my life is back to "normal i am trying to find evidence of any charge balancing and when it might happen

so the stats!

Charge to 100% (had to do this so it would finish when i was awake) finished per Carwings PSMS notification from 79161 at 8:11 AM

SOC meter; 273 97.1% (should have checked voltage!! remind me next time)

now i dont have Blink (thank you thank you THANK YOU!!) and dont have TED. so can only use my meter which is not extremely precise in a sense but is accurate so that is reason for pic. as you can see i am at about 1643.X Kw (actually looked at pic...flash is a bit of an issue but that is ok, its the last digit we care about anyway.

now i plan to power up, take another SOC reading to see if anything has changed and compare pix with meter to see if anything has moved. now we will assume the "barely nothing" vampire draw of modded EVSE will not have changed this since i actually went an entire 48 hours just the other day to check and there was no detectable movement of gauge.

the other thing that is possible is that the balancing might not use enough power to see a change anyway...that would be a bummer so we only have the SOC to gauge.

**Update** checked it at 10:12 AM no change. this is a bit disappointing. at 273 GID this is the lowest "full charge" i have ever seen. i am surprised i thought for sure this was a prime time balancing chance.

will wait another hour and recheck. after that..well, life gets in the way!

**update** checked it again, no charge balancing and GID dropped to 271!! this is 3 hours after charge complete. looks like it aint happening

will continue to investigate just to be sure but will be at least 3 days before i can set up another full charge

here is pic posted by Leafer lucky enough to have TED running so he can get minute by minute power usage stats. but responses to the chart is that is just the bradying down of the charge profile and not any active balancing in place. others have seen a 2nd charging profile happening 1-3 hours after the completion of the first charging profile. i am suspecting that the power used during the 2nd event might not be enough for me to see it on my analog meter
