Do we have a battery capacity warranty? Or a battery warranty?

The impression I get is that Nissan has jumped through hoops to avoid covering warranties. This is especially true of dealerships. Dealerships in the U.S. ARE NOT actually true representatives of the company. They are privately owned and there is special legal protection. Also as a rule they...

steady beeping while driving, no warning lights

I had this happen and it was the result of the seat belt take-up not working right. The buckle got caught in the door when I shut it and eventually made enough of a dent that the “door is closed” indicator wasn’t getting pushed and the drivers side door read to the computer as being open even...

    Turn off start charging beeps?

I personally find them handy. It’s a clear indicator the connection is made.

Leaf won't operate. Warning - Service EV System, Warning - Service EV System Unable to restart after power off

That is the first answer with that kind of warning. If you’ve got a trickle charger you can probably throw it on the thing and make it work. Whether it will do it NEXT time of course is an open question. The problem is batteries are a bit like balloons. They start at a voltage higher than...

Has anyone tried a front splitter in a Gen 2 for lower drag?

Well testing will tell. If you get a mileage bump it works. If you don’t it doesn’t.

*googles “kamm backs”* https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kammback Ah so a truncated boat tail a la late model corvettes.

    Copper wire thieves

Because people who do this are poor and desperate, and they’re unlikely to have the money for a PO BOX, which would easily end run this one. Maybe do “no PO Boxes” too

Optima yellow top or antigravity 30amp? Something else?

Ok. The one I found was a grand. I take it I can get one for a lot less then? The problem seems to be that the average liFePo4 requires a special charger and WONT charge on the alternator whereas that one will. If I could spend less I would. I was unable to find a viable alternative.

Optima yellow top or antigravity 30amp? Something else?

So I want a “set it and forget it” battery. They seem expensive though. The optima yellowtop D51r is a high end lead-acid, costing a bit under $300. The other is an antigravity 30amp AG-51R-30-rs, costing a bit under a grand. Plus whatever a trickle charger fo LiFepo4 costs. Both charge off...

*Momentarily fails to understand. The mental picture is entertaining* “Don’t they call those dental dams?

So how much battery will I eat with a junk trailer?

    That’s actually quite useful. Thx

No sure. There are a lot of things that can be done with aero. There might be something novel.

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

But There are two ports and one is the top half of ccs so you can do ccs phase one and ccs phase2 but not ccs phase 3. I’ve done both of them using that port. Only even opened the lid on my chadmo port once and that was to supercharge

Has anyone tried a front splitter in a Gen 2 for lower drag?

That big British car show did it on a gas car and got nothing. I suspect unless you have a wind tunnel (or the relevant software that replaced wind tunnels) they are pointless. “Close” apparently does nothing.

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

Tempted to buy one even if i never use it. Chadmo I is going to die in the US i think and the adaptor can be adapted again to tesla which is the new standard in the US. The company making them may die so if i want one for resale value i maybe should buy it now while they are being made

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

The real solution is for the 2025 leafs to have the Tesla connector and have it capable of phase 3. Then there would be no issue if there was also a chadmo port.

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

I think it just allows a chadmo car to charge at a ccs supercharger. It might work the other way too. I don’t know. This is all about phase 3 I think. Leafs HAVE phase 2 ccs

    CHAdeMO

That sort of makes sense. It’s gotten a lot harder to get a U.S visa on a Chinese passport since the industrial espionage stuff that happened. Also apparently there is an issue with workers overstaying their visas and becoming illegal immigrants. It makes things complicated. Might be...

55% battery drain in 10 miles, 2022 Leaf?

*tries to imagine the size of the boat necessary to reduce the range by that much* If it happens only on the freeway there is some sort of minimum. Speed, air movement, power draw,, etc.. Finding out what might help.

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

Would make superchargers more available. Thats it though. I’ve only ever supercharged once myself.
