Tesla Destination EVSE and J1772 adapter

@coulomb Thanks for the catch. Quick slip up on my part. @John Trindle I think it may be an issue with your adapter. Either the adapter is bad or there may be physical connection issues between the adapter and EVSE plug.

Tesla Destination EVSE and J1772 adapter

Hi John, You have me kind of stumped when you say "tesla destination charger" and "government-sponsored... 3 tesla EVSEs". What do these Tesla EVSEs look like? Do they look like this wall-mounted EVSE (color may vary)? Or like this typical Tesla destination charging station?

    Recommend Tesla to J1772 adapters?

I have used the following adapter several times since the beginning of the year and it has been working very well for me: Tera Charger Adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CN6ZY6B7/

    Charger vs charging time display

Welcome, John! It sounds like you are referring to the Charging Time display shown on the dash screen: You can read more about it on Page 2-28 of the 2015 Leaf manual. Yes, depending on the state of charge (SOC) of your battery, you may see the same time displayed for the 6kW and 3kW lines...

Do we have a battery capacity warranty? Or a battery warranty?

Nissan kept the bars in the 2018 and new models, but changed the way bars are displayed as a horizontal format on the dash screen:

Do we have a battery capacity warranty? Or a battery warranty?

I expect that you live in the Netherlands. The Nissan Netherlands site below indicates that the Leaf battery warranty is 8 years or 160,000 km. https://www.nissan.nl/range/elektrische-auto.html The above info is similar to the battery warranty (battery & capacity) offered here in the USA: 8 yr...

on board charger speed 3.6 vs 6.6

It sounds like you are talking about the Charge Time Screen display, which can be changed via settings to allow the User to select the displayed time screen based on the charge method (e.g., 3.3 or 6.6 kW). You can find more info on this setting on Page 2-32 of the 2022 manual.

    Charger Timers on Nissan Leaf

Like mine, your S trim Leaf doesn't have a Navigation System, so your Charging Timer doesn't allow you to choose days. You can only set your START and END Times, and they will apply the same for each day, as long as you leave your Timer ON. That button (see pic below) next to the charge door...

55% battery drain in 10 miles, 2022 Leaf?

Hi and welcome! Sorry to hear about your problem. Your car should still be covered under its standard warranties. If the dealer still can't help, then try contacting Nissan Consumer Affairs to open a case so they can help investigate the issue. You can get more info here.

    100 kW Charging

I see that these stations offer 100 kW CHAdeMO and 100+ kW CCS. However, I also see that many Plugshare Users -- with multiple EV types (all above 100kW DC Fast charging capability) -- have reported below 100 kW charging rates from these stations.

    100 kW Charging

What is the address of the EVgo station(s) you used for charging? I suspect that the EVgo station is rated for around 100 kW, but it may only offer CHAdeMO connection at a 50 kW rate (Max).

    100 kW Charging

Unfortunately, not all 100kW DC fast chargers operate the same. I have seen comments left on the Plugshare app by EV owners for 100 kW or larger charging stations (various brands) in my area that operate below their maximum rating. Look through the Plugshare app for charging stations in your...

    CHAdeMO

Looks like Chinese company EN Plus (Shenzhen EN Plus Tech Co., Ltd) got CHAdeMO certification to sell its DC charger in Japan. Good for them.

    Tire maintenance and Other

Those are basically maintenance reminders set by the car owner. You can find the set parameters under the Settings menu: 1) Maintenance > Tire 2) Maintenance > Other You can choose to use them to remind you to perform any specific maintenance on your tire (item 1) or any other equipment (item...

As @cwerdna mentioned, it's been asked before. You can see a past post on it here. It's all guesses from here on.

What is the price range of a new fob?

If you decide to get an aftermarket one, then make sure that the price quote you are provided includes both the key fob & fob programming. I am not familiar with auto locksmiths in the UK, but I'm sure you can find plenty by searching online.

2018 Setting only END time on charge timer.

I got it to work on mine. I wasn't able to disable the START time, but I did see the START time change when I enabled the "Full charge has priority" feature on the Charging Timer. I typically don't use this feature, so I forgot all about it. But it allowed the car to automatically change the...

E-pedal mode turns off automatically after recall fix

I got that recall implemented last year and my e-pedal mode remain unchanged (i.e., always ON). As mentioned, your e-pedal setting may have been changed during the recall upgrade. You can change it to always remain ON when you turn the car ON under your menu settings: Driver Assistance >...

2018 Setting only END time on charge timer.

I see what you mean in the the 2015 manual: However, I do not have the Nov. 2017 print of the 2018 Leaf manual. My manual print date is April 2018 and I see that Page CH-36 and other pages do not address anything about the system automatically determining when to begin charging without a START...

2018 Setting only END time on charge timer.

Hi, Are you talking about the Charging Timer START/END times? I am not aware of any way to get rid of - or disable - the START time feature on the 2015 or 2018 Leafs. The whole point of the timer is to have a start time and end time to setup a period for the charging timer to work. Or are you...
